 Jujutsu Kaisen is making some headlines and some memes, of course, with Todo’s introduction to the anime. The anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen is finally featuring new characters from the manga. No, we are not talking about Yuji Itadori’s magical return from the dead, which was the result of the deal between Ryomen Sukuna and Itadori.

The latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen debuted a lot of new characters, but Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin debuted with the worst introduction in the history of anime.

Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin are making their debut in the anime adaptation following Yuji Itadori’s fake death and Gojo sensei’s confrontation with newly found Curses who can talk like normal human beings.

Who is Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin?

Todo and Zenin are Kyoto Jujutsu High students, and they will be participating in the student exchange program with the 1st year and 2nd year students from Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School.

While the manga already introduced Todo and Zenin, the anime adaptation introduced Todo and Zenin in the 8th episode of Jujutsu Kaisen. The characters’ introduction didn’t go as planned, and the two sorcerers almost killed Nobara and Megumi.

While Megumi and Nobara were running errands for their Senpai’s, Todo decided to introduce himself to Megumi by asking him about the type of women he likes, and Todo, who doesn’t like boring people, will not take any shallow answers about women from anyone.

Megumi, who is not interested in women at all, doesn’t correspond with the question and gives a nominal answer about liking a woman’s personality.

Upon hearing the boring answer, Todo beats Megumi to death without using any form of cursed energy. Nobara also received a similar greeting, where Zenin beats her badly and even pulls out a gun to kill her.

Maki, Panda, and Toge Inumaki arrive at the scene and save the day by interfering in the fight, saving Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki from their untimely death.

The introduction was crucial to the plot as Aoi Todo’s violent behavior will help move the story forward, and fans can expect Itadori to return to the student exchange festival. There is a possibility of a standoff between Todo and Itadori.

Episode 8 gave a glimpse of a lot of new characters and how they might be necessary for moving the story forward. At the same time, Gojo sensei trains Itadori for a new battle after coming back from death. Towards the end of episode 8, the Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer arrives at the theatre, where a newly found Curse has killed three students. Itadori arrives at the scene for his new training, which involves fighting with top-level curses in Tokyo and Kyoto.
