Now, the news has arrived from the house of Sony in which they stated that all of their forthcoming film release dates had been postponed due to the outbreak.
Sony is known worldwide for providing amazing entertainment content from the past a long time. Whether it is their music, movies, or TV shows, they are usually considered best. It’s been in the news for a long time that Sony has been working on various new films. The list of the movies contains anticipated names such as Fatherhood, Spider-Man: Far from Home Sequel. Alongside, the list contains more much-awaited movies name, and Sony has finally proclaimed about postponing its release.
However, films such as Spider-Man that will arrive in the mid of July 2021 doesn’t get postponed similar to other films of the list due to obvious reason whereas films such as Fatherhood will now release on 15, January 2021. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway was earlier intends to release on 8th July 2020 is now altered to hit big screens on 15th January 2021. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is now decided to release on 3rd January 2021, and earlier, it was set to hit screens on 7th October 2020. The upcoming film of Jared Leto, Morbius, will now cure his fans on 19th March, 2021, instead of 31st July 2020. Alongside, Action-Adventure based film Uncharted will be arriving on 10th August 2021 instead of 5th March 2021.
Whereas Films such as Greyhound has shared the list with Spider-Man as their release date hasn’t been altered. It will be intended to arrive on 12th June 2020, and Sony will still release it on the same day. The initiative led by Sony hasn’t remained to be a shocking one as various events, films, and concerts have already been interrupted due to the ongoing outbreak in the world. Now, the closing of the movie theatre has led Sony to proclaimed this consent, although the postponement will not going to affect the success of these films as various renowned film productions have already altered release dates of famous films, including Wonder Woman and No Time to Die.
Although, Sony hasn’t shown much concern towards its fans as almost everyone is now dwelling at their home. Several artists and entertainment providers such as Disney + have released new content-based movies and songs to help out their fans in dealing with quarantine. Thus, Sony can also come forward and pre-released any of its films to provide help to its fans. However, it is its decision, and we cannot do anything about it.
