Pretty Little Liars: Characters Ranked by Likability

Pretty Little Liars, this American teen drama is all mystery, featuring four estranged friends- Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily.  They say being a teenager is hard. How about dealing with a missing friend and a mysterious personality named “A?”

Well, this gets even harder when this mysterious figure is trying to unravel all your dark secrets.

Rosewood is a place that is all about secrets and how to keep them locked. Along with the standard drama of parents, love lives, and homework, the main characters of the show find themselves in difficult situations, with a wild mystery to solve.

First dealing with the enigma of a missing friend, then the comeback of the same friend is not as simple as it sounds.  All this ambiguity makes the characters of the beloved teen drama hard to like.

Alison DiLaurentis

The story of Pretty Little Liars might indeed begin with the disappearance of Alison DiLaurentis, but she is not the character you would like to sympathize with. She is a classic mean girl who wants all the attention on her.

Ashley Marin

Ashley, Hanna’s mother isn’t as sweet as she looks. She comes out to a super confused mom, who doesn’t know what she is doing or should be doing. Although she wants to help her daughter, however, she always ends up creating problems for her.

She gives mixed vibes of a kind and unfaithful person.

Mona Vanderwaal

Mona is again a confused character, who seems to like Hanna one minute and manipulates her the other minute. It is very difficult to understand where she really stands. You will find her helping the liars in one episode and helping “A” in another one, this is complicated.

Ezra Fitz

Honestly, everything about Ezra is difficult to digest. Although he is a teacher and a lover of Aria, who happens to be his teenage student. The idea of a literature professor dating his much younger student could be both sweet and creepy. Depending on the extent of one believing in love.

Even if you manage to get over this love story, which anyways has a happy ending, Ezra could still be very mysterious, including the fact that he was stalking Ali to write a book about her.

Spencer Hastings

If not anything, Spencer Hastings can be highly admired for her work ethics. The way she puts in everything she has and her calm behavior amidst all the tough family situations is commendable.

Sadly, Spencer has all the potential to be mean and selfish, when she stops caring about things and people and becomes rude.

Aria Montgomery

Aria Montgomery tends to act impatient and immature when it comes to getting what she wants. Also, she can act much younger than she is. Sometimes, it feels like she doesn’t have the best interests in her own heart.

Hanna Marin

Out of all the friends, it seems only Hanna Marin had her moments of being sarcastic, otherwise, the show is full of seriousness. As any mystery drama would.

At the beginning of the show, Hanna suffers from some insecurities, she is shoplifting and trying to heal from her parents’ divorce. Altogether, she is portrayed as a sweet and lovable girl.

Caleb Rivers

Caleb Rivers is one of the few likable on the show. Although he has a negative aura at the beginning. But soon after he and Hanna spend time with each other, Hanna realizes that he is a gentle soul, and they end up falling in love.

Emily Fields

Emily Fields makes for the kindest souls residing in Rosewood. She has loved her friend Ali for so long, to no sympathy from her.

Her simple life full of ups and downs, plus her down to earth attitude makes her the most lovable character among the fans.

Toby Cavanaugh

Toby Cavanaugh is the most likable character on the entire show. Fetching maximum female fan following on the show, he is the perfect love interest for a lot of fangirls, if not for Spencer.

Too much, but true!

He is portrayed as a sweet and agreeable person, who just wants to protect the people he cares about.

These were all the characters from the show, Pretty Little Liars, according to their likability. Hope you found this interesting and relatable.
