Impact of Robots in Healthcare

Although machines are made up by humans, they are far away from human error and very near to perfection. Robots work smoothly and dispatch their duties very perfectly. Nowadays, these smart machines are used for different purposes. Surgery, user interfacing, and consumer interaction are the common areas in a hospital where we need a smart hand. Robots perform tirelessly without any hesitation and weakness. Robots operate so immaculately, which is far- far away from human gesture and concentration.

Here are some commonplace and useable robots in hospitals which are caring and operating human needs.

The da Vinci Surgical Robot: It is a fact that humans are dying due to human errors during surgery. We can prevent such massive happenings with more controlled and accurate hands, and that enforces many hospitals to implement robots in operation. The da Vinci Surgical Robot can operate more accurately. It uses the three-dimensional structure of an organ and then intersects it with perfect and steady hands. It can exclude or include tiniest stuff from and in a human body. There is no possibility of any extra scratch; hence it increases the healing time of the operated area.

The Xenex Germ: Zapping Robot: Hospitals are the most infection prone area and double the chances of contamination of a pre-infected human body. While hospitals take measures to decontaminate the area, but due to the crowd, large area and human hands, they fail to do so completely. Xenex Germ-Zapping robot comes as a solution for this critical issue. It with its automatic and UV rays feature, quickly scan the whole room and sanitize it perfectly. Its designing is active that it can limit any hospital-acquired infection (HAL) by eradicating all microorganisms. So it ensures cleanness and healthy atmosphere around patients.

The PARO Therapeutic Robot: PARO Therapeutic Robot is not a lifesaving or infection preserving tool, but it creates a platform on which above two machines give their best. It facilitates patients after its surgery or during convalescence. It helps patients to overcome the trauma of surgery when they are resting and reviving. Basically, it is an interactive device or an interface which entertains, responds and reminds old memories and happening to a sick patient.

The CyberKnife : Handling radiation is not an easy task to do. It needs peculiar concentration and focus. CyberKnife is generally used in cancer treatment. It mounts the beam of x-rays, gamma rays and charged particle and radiates very precisely on a targeted area from different angles during radiation therapy. The working of a CyberKnife is very complicated because it has to be most focused so that target on the unhealthy section of an organ and remain untouched from the healthy part. It is instrumental in curing cancer and treating tumors.

The TUG: It is known as the wheels of a hospital. It takes care of all kinds of transportation in a hospital whether it is delivering meals to each and every patient or moving different test samples from the collection center to lab or uplifting patient over a testing machine. They work as assistants, a delivery boy and a ward boy. They also guide people to get their destination and handle the crown in the hospitals.

Conclusively, robots are becoming an essential component in modern hospitals which is smoothing the complex running of a hospital.
