1. Disable Auto Wake-Up
If you keep the Auto Wake-Up setting on, it keeps the headset awake all the time and on low power mode even while you are not using it. You need to turn it off to save power. Here’s the process:
* Visit Settings, then Power, and then Auto Wake-Up. Now turn off the switch to disable this mode.
* After this setting will be disabled, the dedicated button will appear in grey from blue.
2. Use Auto-Sleep
Under the Auto Wake-Up option, you will also see the Auto-Sleep option. You can change the time period given over there to make your headset go to sleep without any activity. Here’s the process of setting up sleep time:
* Select the 15 seconds time option, which is available right under the Auto Wake-Up option.
* Your Oculus Quest will go to sleep right after 15 seconds if it will not detect any activity.
3. Disable the headset’s Wi-Fi
If you don’t have to use apps that demand an active internet connection, you can consider turning off Wi-Fi of your headset. The apps that generally require Wi-Fi are Oculus Browser, Netflix, RecRoom, VRChat, and YouTube. To turn off Wi-Fi in your headset, visit the Settings section and Wi-Fi, and turn it off by moving the button to the left side.
4. Mute notifications with Do Not Disturb
Also, you can use Do Not Disturb mode to turn off annoying notifications and save battery. It is available right under the Wi-Fi option. Switch the dedicated button to use it.
5. Lower the volume
You might like loud volume, but if you want to save battery, the lower battery will be ideal for you. It is because the louder the volume, the more battery your headset will consume.
