Steps to install the Server Configuration monitor

• Click on the Orion Installer which you have already downloaded and execute the file.
• Let the Orion Installer load up on the system.
• Once you have done this, select the Lightweight Installation option.
• It is given on the first page.
• Select where you want to download the product by pressing on the Browse option.
• Press on the Next option.
• By going to the Products webpage, ensure that the Server Configuration Monitor is chosen.
• After that, press on the Next option.
• Then, install the Orion Installer.
• After that, agree on the terms and conditions of downloading the Orion Installer.
• Click on the Next option.
• The installer will begin the downloading process of the Server Configuration Monitor.
• After that, start downloading the product.
• Wait till the downloading process gets completed on the system.
• After installing the Server Configuration Monitor, you will get the Configuration window on the screen automatically.
• Press on the Next button.
• Press on the Service Settings tab, press on the Next button.
• Press on the Next option.
• Now, the Configuration window will start.
• After that, press on the Finish option.

Steps to discover the network

• Now, you need to make a password for the administrator account,
• For completing this procedure, press on the Save and Login information.
• By going to the taskbar, click on the Settings tab.
• Press on the Network Discovery option.
• Press on the Add New Discovery option.
• Now, you need to select the discovery method for the network.
• You will get the four options on the screen.
• Select and then enter the information.
• Then, press on the Next button.
• Now, it will open the Agents webpage.
• Checkmark the “Check existing nodes polled by an agent for node changes and updates” option.
• Press on the Next button.
• By going to the SNMP webpage in case, the devices are accessing the SNMPv3, press on the Add New Credential option.
• After that, enter the necessary details.
• In case you are currently accessing the community strings instead of the public or private, then start adding the Add New Credential option.
• In case it is not, then press on the Next option.
• Then, click on the Windows webpage.
• In case you are discovering the Windows devices, start adding the information by pressing on the “Add New Credential” option.
• Press on the Next option.
• Select the WMI option in case you discover the Windows devices.
• In case you select the WMI option, then the window will choose the WMI.
• After that, select the SNMP option.
• Press on the Next button.
• In case you want to scan, then start changing the Frequency option.
• It is located on the Discovery Scheduling webpage.
• Then, press on the Discover option.
